Wildlife & Eco-Tourism Expo & Conclave 2026 Begins in New Delhi

Chandigarh: The Wildlife & Eco-Tourism Expo & Conclave 2026, organised by ICM Group, commenced in New Delhi, bringing together tourism professionals, industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss the growing potential of wildlife and eco-tourism and its role in conservation and sustainable tourism.

The event provided a dedicated platform for B2B networking, destination promotion, industry interaction and knowledge exchange, with participation from professionals representing the travel, tourism, wildlife, hospitality and allied sectors.

The conclave began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp and the welcome of dignitaries, followed by keynote addresses by prominent representatives from India’s tourism and wildlife sectors.

The distinguished speakers included Subhash Goyal, Chairman of STIC Group, former President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) and Chairman of the Tourism Committee of ICC; Ramesh Negi, IAS (Retd.), President of the Integrated Mountain Initiative; Rajnish Kaistha, Senior Vice President, IATO; Rajan Sehgal, President of the India Golf Tourism Association (IGTA) and Executive Committee Member of TAAI; Rajesh Arya, President of the Global Association of Events and Hospitality Professionals (GAEHP); Ajay Suri, wildlife filmmaker, journalist, Ramnath Goenka Award recipient and former professional with The Indian Express, Star News and National Geographic; Supriya Sharma, Business Alchemist and Executive Advisor; and Deepika Chowdhry, Director, TOFT (Travel Operators for Tigers) India Wildlife Associations.

The discussions focused on the need to promote responsible wildlife tourism, develop sustainable destinations, create conservation-led tourism experiences and strengthen collaboration between the travel trade and the wider wildlife ecosystem.

A key highlight of the event was the launch of the banner for the International Wildlife & Eco-Tourism Expo 2027. The banner was unveiled by the chief guests and distinguished dignitaries, marking the continuation and expansion of the platform as a larger national and international forum for wildlife, eco-tourism and conservation.

The conclave also featured B2B networking sessions, providing tourism professionals and stakeholders an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Gupta, Managing Director, ICM Group, emphasised the importance of creating platforms that bring the tourism industry closer to conservation and responsible development. He also highlighted India’s vast potential in wildlife and nature-based tourism.

The Wildlife & Eco-Tourism Expo & Conclave 2026 seeks to strengthen dialogue between the tourism and conservation sectors while encouraging sustainable tourism practices and responsible exploration of India’s natural and wildlife destinations.
